Action Steps for Frigid Temps

One step outside today and you’ll notice an arctic blast moved into the region last night. Because the overnight lows are going to be in the single digits, please open up the cabinets on any sink that shares an exterior wall so pipes don’t freeze. Also, if you are leaving for the Thanksgiving holiday, set your thermostat at a minimum of 60 degrees (thankfully the weather is forecast to be mild next week).
We set our clocks back an hour last week – so it’s a good reminder to swap out the batteries in smoke/carbon monoxide alarms in your home. If you are having an issue with either one, please let me know. Also, if you haven’t already, get your furnace serviced by a licensed HVAC technician. Reminders have been going out since late September. Also, change your furnace filters on a monthly basis through-out heating season.
Finally, I hope each of you has a relaxing Thanksgiving holiday. As corny as it sounds, we are truly grateful for our relationship and continued business.
Stay safe and warm!
